MUMBAI: According to Indian media reports, United Kingdom has rejected Bollywood superstar Salman Khan’s visa without giving any reason for the denial.
The shooting of Sajid Nadiadwala's new film "Kick" is underway in Glasgow and Salman was supposed to be there from last week but as his visa got cancelled, he is unable to fly to UK.
There are speculations that the likely reason are the cases against Khan. Khan has two cases of poaching against him and his involvement in a hit-and-run case is still awaiting verdict.
Eleven years after he allegedly killed one person in a hit and run case, Khan was formally charged by a court with culpable homicide not amounting to murder.
The actor has pleaded not guilty to the charges.
Khan had appeared in court on July 24 but the final verdict was not taken. The court then framed the charges and adjourned the case till August 19.
The rules of acquiring a visa has also become more stringent now and that may also be a reason for UK denying Khan a visa, said an Indian media report.
