KARACHI: Referring to the whitewash of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) in some of its strongholds, Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief, Altaf Hussin Thursday night said that everyone saw the so-called “tsunami” going down the drain in the by-polls, Zee Info News reported
In a statement issued from London, he said, “These are some of the most critical times for the country, which call for all of us to learn to recognize each other’s existence.”
Congratulating the leaders of mainstream and other political parties, which made headway in the by-elections, Hussain urged them to show reciprocity in accepting the MQM's mandate as well as its existence.
“We acknowledge your mandate, you should now admit ours”, said he.
In the end he said transparent by-polls laid bare for all to see the “tsunami”, which some loftily claimed would wash the MQM out was nowhere to be found, whereas MQM was still there standing tall in all its glory.
