KARACHI: Seven more dengue viral fever cases were reported in Karachi on Friday, increasing the patients' toll to 542 during 2013 so far, said Dengue Surveillance Cell Sindh.
Dr M Shakeel Aamir Mullick, Focal Person for Dengue Surveillance Cell Sindh, said that a total of 555 dengue fever cases have been reported in Sindh province since January 2013, out of them 542 were reported in Karachi and 13 in rest of province.
He said six dengue patients died in Karachi this year.
Mullick further said that 16 dengue patients were still admitted to different hospitals of the Karachi and seven new cases were reported in Karachi on 2nd August.
However, three patients were discharged from hospitals after treatment on Friday. (PPI)
