New Zealand Beat Pakistan by 7 Wickets

CUTTACK: New Zealand Sunday defeated Pakistan by 7 wickets in the ICC Women’s World Cup played at the Barabati Stadium here, Geo News reported.
This is the second consecutive defeat of Pakistan team in the event.
Earlier, green shirts had set a target of 105 runs for the New Zealand, which it easily met in 29 overs for the loss of 3 wickets.
Pakistan team winning the toss opted to bat first, but it could hardly make 104 runs in 41.2 overs. Asmavia Iqbal scoring 22, Bisma Maroof 20 runs remained prominent among Pakistani batsmen.
New Zealand’s Rachel Candy took 4 wickets, while Lucy Doolan and Nicola Browne 2 wickets each.
Kiwis in reply achieved the target in only 29.4 overs for the loss of 3 wickets. Suzie Bates made unbeatable 65 runs.
Sana Mir took 2 wickets and Samia Siddique one.
Pakistan also faced a defeat in its first match of the event against Australia by 91 runs.
