LONDON: Lawmakers reprehended Britain's Ministry of Defense after it had been revealed that between '2009-11 it bought £1. 5 billion worth involving equipment more than it applied.
A report by the cross-party panel of MPs identified £3.4 billion worth of Supplies which may be sold.The report accused the department involving "wasting a huge amount of public money" upon accruing consumable supplies such as uniforms and ammunition that have not recently been used.
"It is particularly galling each time when funding is tight when one considers which the National Examine Office has become warning regarding these concerns for over twenty years, " claimed committee member Richard Bread.
The report found which the department got concentrated simply on assembly demand, and got no mechanism to avoid over-ordering.
The MoD is to introducing regulates which that hopes may reduce spending on inventory by £500 million annually by 2015.
