WASHINGTON:Pakistan Ambassador to the US Sherry Rehman held a meeting with Senator Robert R. Casey Jr., a Democrat from Pennsylvania to go over cooperative relations between Pakistan and United States of America.
According to Pakistani embassy in United States of America, Ambassador Sherry Rehman briefed Senator Casey on recent developments in Pakistan-USA bilateral talks, particularly inside the context associated with addressing improvised explosive device that pose a common threat to Pakistan and the United States of America.Ambassador shared with Senator the comprehensive steps taken through Pakistan to evaluate the inflow of improvised explosive device precursors into Afghanistan.
Senator Casey required note with the consistent efforts by Pakistani regulators to curtail the improvised explosive devices threat and assure the continuing US aid in improving Pakistan's capability to manage the widespread menace associated with improvised explosive devices. Matters of communal interest such as situation throughout Afghanistan as well as reconciliation process were also discussed.
