President, PM, CMs, politicians condemn Bannu attack
ISLAMABAD: President Mamnoon Hussain, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Chief Ministers of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhw have strongly condemned attack on security forces convoy in Bannu, Media reported.
At least 22 security men were martyred and 38 others sustained injured in an attack forces convoy in Bannu today (Sunday).
In his message, the President said that such cowardly attacks could never weaken the resolve of our law enforcing authorities and the nation, to continue pursuing their struggle against the scourge of militancy and terrorism.
Expressing his heartfelt sympathies with the bereaved families of the martyred, the President prayed for eternal peace of the departed souls.
He also called upon the authorities concerned to ensure that best medical assistance is provided to the injured.
PM Nawaz Sharif, Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif, CM KP Pervaiz Khattak, former president Asif Ali Zardari, Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Altaf Hussain have also condemned the attack and said the blasts were aimed to weaken the defence of the country.
