KSE gains 425 points to top 26,900 mark in week
KARACHI: Karachi Stock Exchange's (KSE remained in top gear during the last four-session week, ending January 17, 2014, as the benchmark Index summited yet another peak gaining a total of 425 points .
On the rollover day the KSE-100 Index crossed the psychological barrier of 26,900 points and closed at 26,913.85 mark after a gain of 183.61 points.
On the other hand, KSE-30 Index also edged up to close at 19,697.62 points with an increase of 119.16 points.
Similarly, KSE All Share Index also ticked up by 59.78 points.
Among 400 active scrips, 233 remained upwardly mobile, 152 retreated, while 15 scrips neither gained nor lost during the last week.
The weekly turnover was 336,136,130 shares with the trading value of Rs11.123 billion.
Furthermore the market capitalization improved by Rs55.765 billion to Rs6.526 trillion.
