Motorists warned as fog envelops motorways M1, M2
LAHORE: National Highways & Motorway Police (NH&MP) has issued traveling advisory for the motorists after blinding dense fog descended upon the province Sunday night bringing the visibility down to a dangerously low level, Media reported.
According to a statement issued by NH&MP, the visibility is down to 10-15 meters on part of Motorway M2 that leads from Kot Momin to Lahore, while on M2 it is as low as 30-40 meters from Swabi to Burhan Interchange.
The NH&MP has urged the motorists to drive slowly and switch on fog lights. It also requested people to stay home and avoid unnecessary traveling for their own safety.
Severe cold weather has gripped parts of country with dense fog causing problems for travelers.
