Farooq Sheikh dies of heart attack
DUBAI: Veteran actor Farooq Sheikh died of heart attack on Saturday morning, Media reported.
The Bollywood actor passed away at 64 in Dubai where he was with his family. Sheikh was best known for his roles in parallel cinema. Some of his most memorable movies include Garam Hawa (1973), Satyajit Ray`s Shatranj Ke Khiladi (Chess Players) (1977), Noorie (1979), Umrao Jaan (), Chashme Buddoor (1981) and Kissi Se Na Kehna (1983).
He also hosted the popular TV show Jeena Issi ka Naam Hai.
Farooq was last seen in Club 60, where he played the role of an old man who had lost interest in the charms of life.
