Ex-DG PTA Imran jailed for seven years in corruption reference
ISLAMABAD: The Accountability Court on Thursday awarded seven years sentence and Rs70 million penalty to former Director General Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) Imran Ahmed Zubair in corruption reference, Media reported.
The court issued its verdict in PTA corruption reference during which ex-DG PTA was found guilty of incurring loss of Rs80.17 million to the national exchequer.
Bank manager Muhammad Riaz was acquitted in the same case.
The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) had filed the corruption reference in 2010.
