PESHAWAR: The spokesman for chief minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Shiraz Paracha told Zee Info News on Wednesday that peace talks between the Ulema (religious scholars) and Taliban were underway and would be supported by the provincial government.
Spokesman Shiraz Paracha said talks between Ulema and Taliban were a positive step and would be supported at all steps. Paracha said that talks were a sensitive matter as he refrained from revealing the names of the Ulema who were involved in the process.
He added that there was no timeframe for the talks or when peace would be restored.
