DALLAS: Famous Ghazal maestro Ustad Ghulam Ali has said that he is playing his role in strengthening the relationship of love between people of Pakistan and India through his art and music.

Talking to Geo News and The News International correspondent at the Irving, Texas, Ghulam Ali said that he get the same love from Pakistanis as from Indians.

After a great performance at a Ghazal event, hosted by Fun Asia entertainment, he said artist goes beyond the borders as the art cannot be confined by artificial boundaries.

"This is why my voice travels from Pakistan to India."

He said that wherever he goes whether Pakistan or India, he got appreciation, admiration and love. He said Indians also want to promote love and friendship just like Pakistanis.

He said his programs of ghazals and music in American tours are heavily attended by local Indians and they express their love and affection for him.

"I am an ambassador of peace and I take the message of peace wherever I go."

Ghulam Ali further said that there are unseen forces which tried to prevent people of both countries from coming closer, however, he said people from both the countries have warm feelings for each other.

The program promoter Yesh Pal Sui said that he has been hosting ghazal and music programs for last couple of decades in America and people from both Pakistan and India fully participate in these programs and listen to artists of both the countries.

He said that his mission is to bring people of both the countries closer. He said that he had hosted hundreds of concert of late Mahdi Hassan, Ghulam Fareed Sabri Qawwal, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and other top artists and has brought several top artists from India and presented them in front of people for which he is very satisfied that through music he is conveying the message of love to people of both countries.

Ustad Ghulam Ali presented his art to people before a large gathering at Irving High school in Irving, Texas, where he presented his memorable ghazals to the audience.

A large number of Indian origin fans of Ghulam Ali were in attendance. The music evening lasted for about three hours and attendees were kept amused by the high class of music.

Fun Asia owner Shariq Hamid and radio anchor DJ Moody thanked the audience for the warm welcome to the visiting guests.
