KARACHI: Eid-ul-Fitr is being celebrated in Pakistan today (Friday) with religious zeal, fervor and festivity as Shawwal crescent was sighted in different parts of the country on Thursday, Zee Info News reported.
The decision was made by the Central Ruet e Hilal Committee with Mufti Muneeb ur Rehman in the chair here on Thursday.
The committee took the decision after collecting evidences of moon sighting from different parts of the country.
Addressing a press conference after the meeting, Mufti Muneeb ur Rehman said: "Shawwal moon has been sighted and Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated on Friday."
