Three killed in violent incidents in Karachi
KARACHI: Intermittent firing continued for the fifth consecutive day in different areas of Lyari while hand grenades were also hurled. On the other hand, three persons were killed in various violent incidents across metropolis, Media reported Thursday.
Residents of Lyari are facing extreme difficulties as they are restricted indoors due to consistent firing occurring in many areas including Kalri, Hangurabad, Agra Taj Colony, Bihar Colony, Jumma Baloch Road and other adjoining areas for the past four days.
Hand grenade attacks were also reported in some areas.
A man was killed in firing near Hanif Manzil who was identified as Muhammad Yusuf. One person was injured in Mandira when unknown gunmen opened fire.
In another incident, unknown culprits dumped a body on Khayaban-e-Muhafiz in Defence area and fled from the scene. The body was shifted to Jinnah Hospital.
Another man was killed in firing that took place near Sakhi Hassan intersection.
