Sindh Assembly Newly Elected Members Take Oath
KARACHI: Sindh Assembly newly elected members have taken oath in the maiden session held on Wednesday morning here, Media reported.
Outgoing Speaker Nisar Ahmad Khuhro administered oath to the members of the assembly in Urdu, Sindhi and English separately.
Ealier, Speaker Nisar Ahmad Khuhro greeting newly members in the assembly said that all of you have come here with the votes of the people and confidence reposed in you and hoped that the members would try meeting the expectations of the people.
Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) has nominated Syed Qaim Ali Shah for Leader of the House, Agha Siraj Durrani for Speaker and Shehla Raza for Deputy Speaker.
PPP has 86 members in the newly elected assembly, Muttahid Qaumi Movement (MQM) 48, Muslim League-Functional (ML-F) 10, Muslim League- Nawaz (ML-N) 7, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) 4, National People’s Party (NPP) 2, while Muslim League-Q (ML-Q) 1
