Next 24 Hours Critical For Sarabjit Singh: Doctors
LAHORE: Doctors have declared that the next 24 hours are critical for Sarbajit Singh, an Indian spy on death row, who was injured in an attack by follow inmates in Kot Lapkhpat Jail.
Singh was shifted to the Jinnah Hospital in Lahore after receiving initial treatment at the prison hospital. Hospital sources said that he received head injuries.
Meanwhile, a case of attempted murder has also been registered under section 324/24 against the main accused Aamir and Muddasir.
According to the Foreign Office spokesman the India High Commission has been granted counselor access to Singh.
The Assistant Superintendent and Jail Warden have been suspended. The Punjab Home Department has also ordered an inquiry into the attack.
