Balochistan Police Allowed to Interrogate Musharraf in Bugti Murder Case
RAWALPINDI: An Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) in Rawalpindi allowed Balochistan police to interrogate former president Pervez Musharraf in the murder case of veteran politician Nawab Akber Bugti who was killed in 2006 army operation, leading to widespread unrest in Balochistan, Zee Info News reported.
A 25-member team of Dera Bugti police had filed an application to the ATC seeking inclusion of former army ruler in the assassination case, stating that Musharraf was wanted to the police.
The court on Tuesday allowed the police team to interrogate Musharraf at his Chak Shahzad farmhouse which has been declared sub jail.
The ATC, however, rejected a plea for immediate physical remand of Musharraf.
