ISLAMABAD: Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has announced in which 123 political parties meet the criteria to contest the elections 2013, but this does not include Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) and Muttahaida Quami Activity (MQM).
MQM declared ineligible to election due to party’s failure to submit information on assets from 2010. The PTI had been declared ineligible within the failure to complete intra-party elections.Parties that are eligible to contest elections consist of PPP, PML-N, PML-Q, PML-F, Pakistan Awami Tehreek, APML among others.
