Malala Yousafzai Given Freedom of Expression Award
LONDON: Malala Yousafzai has been given the Freedom of Expression Award in the United Kingdom where she has started attending school, Media reported.
The award was given by an organization known as Index at a ceremony which was not attended by the girl, who was shot and injured by a Taliban shooter in her home town in Swat when she was on her way home from school last year.
Malala’s father Ziauddin Yousafzai, received the award “As a father I gave Malala freedom of expression, freedom of expression is a solution to every problem and it is the most import right,” he was quoted as saying on the occasion.
