Faisalabad Wolves Win Faisal Bank T20 Cup
LAHORE: Faisalabad Wolves have won Super-8 T20 Cup after beating Sialkot Stallions in final match by 36 runs at Gaddafi Stadium Lahore, Media reports.
Defending champion Sialkot Stallions could not win final match against Faisalabad Wolves and lost match and title both Misbah’s team on Sunday.
Faisalabad skipper Misbah-ul-Haq won the toss and elected to bat first against the defending champions Sialkot Stallions, led by Shoaib Malik.
Faisalabad scored 158 runs in first batting and skipper Misbah made 38 runs and Asif Ali scored 70 runs to set winning target of 159 runs for the Stallions.
Sialkot Stallions failed to achieve the goal and all team flatted after scoring only 122 runs. Shoaib Malik was the only prominent batsman from Stallions who scored 40 runs but failed to save the team from defeat.
Ahsan Aadil and Asad Ali took three wickets each. Asif Ali was declared Man of the Match in final match while Misbah-ul-Haq received Man of the Series Award in Super-8 T20 Cup-2013.
Faisalabad Wolves clinched the championship cup after defeating Shoaib Malik’s Stallions by 36 runs in the final match of the tournament.
