Chief Justice Orders Full Security For Hussain Haqqani on Arrival

ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court on Tuesday ordered authorities concerned to provide full security to Hussain Haqqani on his arrival in Pakistan, Geo News reported.
Eight-member bench of the apex court, headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry was hearing Memogate case here.
During the hearing, the chief justice expressed dismay over absence of Secretary Home hearing and ordered him to appear before the court till 11:30 AM.
Later, after consultation with Asma Jahangir, the court without waiting for the secretary, ordered authorities concerned to provide full security to Hussain Haqqani on his arrival, during his stay and till his return.
The court also asked Asma Jahangir, counsel of Haqqani, to participate in security consultations for his client with IG and Home Secretary.
Asma demanded of the court to put off hearing till end of general elections as Home department was busy in it.
The hearing was adjourned till March 11, 2013.
