Child Vaccination Made Mandatory in Lahore

LAHORE: Punjab Health Department has decided that children who have not been vaccinated for measles, polio, hepatitis and TB will not be issued their birth certificates nor will they be allowed admission in schools.
These decisions were taken in a meeting chaired by DCO Lahore following countless deaths due to measles, polio, hepatitis and TB. Schools across the city will also be informed that children without proper vaccinations should not be admitted under any circumstances.
Over 1,000 cases of measles have been reported in Lahore most of them in Lahore.
